March Corps of Discovery Competition

Need a new challenge?  Want to see how you stack up against your fellow explorers? Then join our monthly Corps of Discovery competition!

Using this free downloadable map from the Fog chapter (requires the Fog Expansion to play), what is the highest score you can get? Print it out (use the concealer page to hide the map as you grab it from your printer), and play the game with whichever characters and gear you want.

Once you’re done, come back here and comment with your score! We’d also love to hear any harrowing counts of near defeat at the hands (or claws) of the devilish monsters, mindful management of resources, and seeking for the right time to unleash your character and gear powers!

The highest score every month will be announced in the following month’s newsletter and crowned the Champion that month. We all must bow down to their excellence.

Download the Mar 2026 Map here, and comment below once you’re done with your score and which characters and gear you used. We made the first page blank to try to hide the map from you.

On the last day of the month, I found time to give this one a go and am glad I did. The stars aligned for me and I was able to win with must be one of my highest scores to date, 26. I couldn’t believe it when I realized I was ready to make my guess on the last card of just the second day. I used Charbonneau to gain some early deduction help, a spear to make the only monster who came out (at the end of day one) irrelevant, the tracking guide for a few extra explorations, and the Hadley’s quadrant to get out of resource jams (which I only needed to do once on the second day). I was kind of lucky, I guess, to figure out the teepees pretty early and was able to use them to my advantage. Man, I tell ya, this game ages like fine wine, just keeps getting better the more I play. Thanks for the fun as always.
